VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We love our volunteers! Supporting Whitford Middle School is a great way to get involved, connect with the community, and make a difference for our students.

Steps to Become an Approved Volunteer

1. Review Mandatory Volunteer Training
   Start by reviewing the district’s required volunteer training materials, which include child safety and adult conduct expectations:

2. Complete the BSD Volunteer Application via Raptor

   • Use the district’s volunteer system (Raptor) to submit your application.

   • As part of the process, you’ll consent to an Oregon criminal records check.

3. Background Check & Approval
   BSD conducts a criminal background check on all volunteer applicants. It can take up to 10 business days or more to complete. Once approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email from the Raptor system.

4. Start Volunteering
   After approval, you can sign up for volunteer opportunities through ParentSquare or other school coordination. When volunteering on school grounds, you’ll check in at the front office with a photo ID to receive your volunteer badge.
